One of the most valuable tools I got from this class... okay there were lots... was to find pictures and music with "creative commons" for slide shows, web pages, etc. If you search for images or music this way you are finding them with less restrictive copy rights... you might need to give credit to the creator, but you can use it without paying, or writing letters and asking for permission.
I also really like this wiki thing... in case you couldn't tell :) I learned to embed video in my wiki... not just a link but the embedded video so all you have to do is click on it and watch my videos!
